MJ Rocks and Gems

A little about us, we are Matt and Kristi Radford, we've been married for over 25 years and have three kids, one daughter-in-law and a grandson.

A number of years ago Matt took up rock tumbling as a stress relieving hobby. It quickly escalated from one tumbler to many tumblers to wanting a rock saw, which required additional power, of course. If you have a rockhound in the family you know how this story goes. Haha!

In 2018 Matt had major back surgery. He went back to his fulltime job and after reinjuring himself he decided he needed a new career. The desire to open a rock shop was born. In the spring of 2021 we officially opened MJ Rocks and Gems in our garage. We started online only and quickly moved to farmers markets and local events. For the past eight months we have been focusing on bringing additional vendors into our garage/shop. I'm please to tell you we have added 12 local small businesses to the shop with us.
